Arrived in Nagoya

I have just created my first blog!!! I am going to be living in Nagoya for the next 6 months, hopefully I will have something interesting to write on this blog. So far nothing special to mention other than I just got here in one piece and I am doing fine. The weather is much better than in London, but I guess that's not very hard given the summer we had, if you can call that summer.

The town where I stay is very quiet so I have not got a chance to explore the city. We have a Bank Holiday this monday, it is the Health-Sports Day, get in!! I will attend a festival over this weekend, the Nagoya Matsuri which happens every 5 years and I will attempt to visit the city.

The pictures and any interesting stories will follow after this weekend.

Nagoya (名古屋市 Nagoya-shi?) is the fourth largest city in Japan. Located on the Pacific coast in the Chūbu region on central Honshū, it is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and is one of Japan's major ports along with those of Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Yokohama, Chiba, and Hakata. It is also the center of Japan's third largest metropolitan region, known as the Chūkyō Metropolitan Area (see also Chūkyō region).
